Welcome to Countryside Christian Fellowship's home on the web!

WebAbout_WorshipKitty.jpgNothing can replace coming and sharing in the blessings of the Lord at the Fellowship, but we've sought to provide a place here on the web where you can come and enjoy much of Countryside, without making the drive. Thanks for stopping in to see what the Lord is doing at the Fellowship.

You can find us in the beautiful Willamette Valley in Western Oregon. The Fellowship is located in north Eugene, in the midst of rural Coburg — out in the country. In many ways a community church, we are really more of a church that is a community. Our community is WebAbout_GrahamGuitar.jpglarge with people traveling from a radius of 45 miles to be involved in the body.

Countryside Christian Fellowship is a body of believers desiring the fullness of Jesus, as we seek Him with undivided devotion. The Bible says that Godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6) — that is the kind of Christian life we desire. We are devoted to the Lord through the study of His Word, in our fellowship with one another, in worship, which includes frequent opportunities to break bread together, and of course, to prayer (Acts 2:42.) As we gather, we find that we “are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”(2 Corinthians 3:18)

WebAbout_Shae.jpgCountryside is safe - Safe may not be a word that is thought of very often in a church, but it sure is one that we think of at Countryside. Coming to the Fellowship isn't risky - you won't be asked to do things or say things that will make you uncomfortable. Free from harm, burn out and worry, everyone - from the youngest baby to the oldest adult - can come and relax in an environment that is both safe and sound. From the parking lot to the nursery, we love the Lord by serving you. "Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings." - Psalm 17:8

Countryside is refreshing - Free of much of the religiousness and regiment that can be so WebAbout_GrigsbyatBeach.jpgdistracting in religious circles, at Countryside you'll be able to relax and be refreshed. In all of our busy-ness it is easy to get used up! At the Fellowship you can receive personal revival, spiritual renewal and rest for your soul as we together seek first the kingdom (Matthew 6:33.) Like the coolness of a spring shower you'll find yourself replenished from the details of life that have emptied you. Freshened up and restored, you'll be ready in mind and in spirit to meet life head on. "As the deer WebAboutUs_MortonFamily.jpgpants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God." - Psalm 42:1

Countryside is simple - We have sought to keep things simple, without a lot of infrastructures, strategies and programs. We haven't really adorned this, or embellished that, but have allowed the Spirit to keep things unassuming and uncomplicated. Countryside's style is simple, laid-back and intimate. From our worship which is both contemporary and informal, yet expressed deeply and passionately; to our Bible teaching where we work our way through the Word chapter by chapter, book by book, in a relaxed and often humorous way; to our deep commitment to encourage one another asWebAboutUs_DawsonBoys.jpg brothers and sisters in the Lord, the Fellowship is an unpretentious place to simply enjoy God. In fact, even the way we dress is simple, very casual and comfortable. My heart is not proud, O Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have stilled and quieted my soul… - Psalm 131:1-2

Countryside is Biblical - Gathering together for worship, for study of God's Word, for communion, for fellowship with one another, for prayer - that's Biblical, that's Countryside. We very deliberately center in on the Bible. Our loves, our decisions, our priorities, our WebAbout_BrianIsrael.jpgpreferences, our very lives are dependent upon the revelation of a loving God and His plan for us found in the Scriptures. Studying, teaching and living out the Word is the priority at the Fellowship - in doing so we accomplish our reason for being here, worshipping and giving glory to the Lord. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. - Psalm 119:105

WebAbout_GardenPeople.jpgCountryside is all about Jesus - Colossians 3:2 admonishes us to "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." So, we "fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith" (Hebrews 12:2.) Jesus is safe, Jesus is refreshing, Jesus is simple, Jesus is Biblical. Join us. Taste and see that the LORD is good… (Psalm 34:8.)
