This is the camp of God!
— Genesis 32:2
Want to get away from it all?
The beauty of the Cascades and Crescent Lake await you at this year’s Countryside Family Campout.
Take a refreshing dip in the lake, hike on some great trails, have a blast with the Camp-wide events, enjoy the campfire worship, appreciate the quiet of morning communion, eat incredible meals and relax in the
fellowship of the Body of Christ as we gather to be refreshed in the Word by the Holy Spirit.
The Countryside Family Campout provides an opportunity for family, friendship and fellowship as we experience the Lord in worship and study, recreate in our camp-wide ‘events,’ share common meals together, and even serve one another in cooking, cleaning, fire-building and all of the details that make camping a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone.
A JOY to anticipate:
We do eat together for all of our meals and help to share in the food prep and clean-up responsibilities. We have found this to be a great blessing as we fellowship with one another. We deliberately plan for plenty of ‘free-time,' so we ask that all campers plan on involving themselves in the group worship and study times, and group events during the campout. The Campout does not end until Sunday at 2:00 p.m. — so all are encouraged to stay for the entire event. You’re
encouraged to capture this time away by enjoying devotional times, prayer, worship and communion before the day begins.
Our days are simple, relaxing and a lot of fun:
7:00 a.m. Worship, Communion on the beach
8:00 Breakfast Together
9:30 Morning Study And Worship
10:30 Morning Event
12:00 noon Lunch Together
1:00 p.m. Afternoon Events/Free Time
(5:15-5:45 Kids Time)
6:00 Dinner Together
8:00 Campfire, Evening Study and Worship
Every year, Countryside leaders, elders and pastors share with us for the entire weekend. Journeying through the Scriptures in the gorgeous setting of the Cascades will refresh your Spirit in ways you have only imagined.
Plan on joining us for our next Countryside Family Campout, Thursday, August 18 through Sunday, August 21, 2005. We're always looking for those folks who want to minister to the rest of the Body through the Campout. Check with one of our staff to see how the Lord can use you. Registration information can be found in the lobby.
