The Men's Ministry at Countryside seeks to build within men a passion to love, serve, and follow Jesus Christ. As men are grounded in the Word of God and seek to be filled with His Spirit, the natural overflow is men who are exercising godly influence in their homes and churches, in their work place and communities. The men at Countryside are intricately involved in ministry throughout the body. Generally, this ministry manifests itself in three areas:

Worship and Study

There is a weekly Men's Study that meets at Encouraging Words, Saturday mornings at 8:00 (Encouraging Words opens for breakfast and coffee at 7:30.) On the third Saturday of each month at 8:00, the men gather for breakfast at the Encouraging Words Coffeehouse (on the campus of Countryside) for a time of worship, teaching in the Word and prayer. A number of the men in the fellowship minister in the kitchen. Just come, and expect the Lord to do great things. (Encouraging Words opens at 7:30.)

Service

There is a never ending list of ministries open to the brothers of the Fellowship. One of the goals of Men's Ministry is that men are equipped and released to serve in various capacities. Children's Ministry can always use men who are zealous for God, we encourage men to participate and serve in this area of ministry. Some of the elderly in the church have needs that the Men's Ministry can address as well. There are a variety of ministries within the building and on the grounds which take constant activity and where we are always looking for willing servants. The opportunities go on and on as the men of Countryside bless the Lord with their willingness to serve.

Special Events

High points of the year often include a variety of retreats and other specifically spiritual gatherings. Both one-day in-town conferences and overnight retreats out of town are made available throughout the year for times of teaching, fellowship, worship, prayer, and various types of recreation. God has blessed these times as we come away from the hustle and bustle of our lives and focus in on Him.
