Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
— Colossians 3:23-24
Whether you need to be ministered to, or are interested in serving the Body at Countryside, there are all kinds
of ways the heart of the Lord is expressed...
Audio-Visual Ministry
Inside or outside, there's always plenty happening in Countryside's audio-visual ministry. And, we're always looking for willing servants to help. Whether it's a radio broadcast for Things Above, mixing sound for an outreach concert, being a roadie as we move out to The Garden during the summer, or helping in the tape ministry, the men and women who serve in this area of ministry are hugely helpful and hugely blessed. Check with one of the sound people before or after a service, or with the office staff if you'd like to be involved in this area of service.
Biblical Discipleship (Counseling)
Although Countryside does not offer long-term counseling, we do have spiritually gifted leaders available to offer Biblical discipleship and advice and spiritual encouragement. We strongly suggest you get involved in one of the many small group Bible studies at the Fellowship, becoming accountable to the Lord along with other believers. You can connect with someone after a service, or call the office if you have further questions.
Café Koinonia
Café (a small restaurant serving food or coffee); Koinonia (fellowship in the Lord) — Not enough time to cook before
the mid-week service? No problem! We’re cooking every Thursday for the masses and serving up the best home cooking from 5:30 to 6:30 in Encouraging Words. The ‘one-size-fits-all’ menu changes weekly and is posted here on the site so you know what to come "famished for." Meals are always just four bucks. It’s a great way to fellowship at the Fellowship.
Garden Sacrifices and Burnt Offerings BBQ
We spend summers out in The Garden, and with the Willamette Valley weather being picture perfect during the summer, it just seemed a shame to head home so soon. Why not continue our fellowship in our own personal park? Burgers, dogs and chicken sandwiches freshly "grilled on the barbie" are waiting d
uring our services all summer long, and during special Sundays throughout the year. Come, eat, fellowship and be refreshed. Or, if you'd like, minister along side of those providing the refreshment. Stop in at the BBQs and see what's cookin'.
Manna Catering
Manna Catering (What is it? Catering) serves alongside our wedding ministry, and helps to provide the backbone
for many of the other food-service ministries at the Fellowship. If you’re an eater, you can access the potential fruit of this ministry from the weddings area of our site. If you’re a cooker, and want to be involved in BIG cooking, contact one of the catering staff.
Meals Ministry
Often a new baby or an extended illness can make something as simple as dinner quite a chore. The ladies of Countryside from its earliest days have sought to minister to families by being a family and helping out with a home-cooked meal or two as the Lord provides. If you’re interested in helping to minister to your family at Countryside by exercising your culinary muscles, contact the Fellowship office, or one of the women’s ministry staff.
New Believers and Foundations
For new believers we periodically offer classes or workshops to help ground them in their new found faith. If you have questions about the Lord or His Word, this is the place. Information on the next session can always be found in the bulletin and here
on the web.
Pre-Marriage Discipleship
Though we enjoy weddings, we’re far more concerned about the marriages those weddings begin. We rejoice seeing marriages get off on the right-foot — God’s foot. Our pastoral staff offers Pre-Marriage Discipleship sessions for those in the Body desiring to be married. If you want to be married at Countryside, or by one of our pastors, these sessions are necessary. Contact the office or the weddings ministry staff for more information.
Ushers and Greeters
Our deacons lead the friendliest ministry at the Fellowship — and anyone is welcome to serve. We call this ministry First Contact. These folks are often the first contact that folks who don’t attend Countryside will have once arriving. We’d be blessed to have you serve alongside us to make the folks coming to the Fellowship feel welcome. Ask anyone of the First Contact servants about how you can help.
