We Believe — Our Creed

As Christians have for centuries, dating back nearly to the beginning of the church, we find our core beliefs centered in the ancient creeds, the Apostle's Creed and the Nicene Creed. Over time, as a local congregation of believers, we have come to express those beliefs this way:

There is one God, eternally existent in three distinct persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Father is the creator of heaven and earth, all things seen and unseen.

Jesus the Son of God was born of a virgin, lived a sinless and miracle-filled life, died a real and sin-reconciling death, resurrected from death to life and ascended to heaven. His life and the Scriptures testify to Jesus being God and God Incarnate, who will return to earth in power and glory. Our sole hope of being redeemed from our natural, sinful state is through faith in Jesus and the atoning covering of his blood, offered sacrificially, and birthing in us the resurrection and eternal life.

God the Holy Spirit dwells in believers and enables us to live holy lives and powerfully build up and bless the church and the world. The true church is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, they are the Body of Christ. The Scriptures are fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and breathed out by God; the Spirit gives and guides us in the understanding of the Scriptures.
