Other Opportunities

Seeking to be an others-centered group of disciples

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

- Colossians 3:23-24

Whether you are in need of being ministered to, or are interested in serving the Body at Countryside, there are all kinds of ways the heart of the Lord is expressed. If you are looking for an area in which you can serve the Lord, some of these places are a good starting point. Or, if you're wondering about discipleship for an upcoming marriage or how you might be able to meet with one of the pastors, it's here. Most of all, here at Countryside our desire to bless the Lord works out in many practical ways and here are some ways that the ministry here gets accomplished. When the Lord's people recognize the great value placed upon servant hood in God's Kingdom, we see and experience the fruit of God's love in our fellowship.

Biblical Discipleship

Although Countryside does not offer long-term counseling, we do have spiritually gifted leaders available to offer Biblical discipleship and advice and spiritual encouragement. We strongly suggest you get involved in one of the many small group Bible studies at the Fellowship, becoming accountable to the Lord along with other believers. You can connect with someone after a service, or call the office if you have further questions.

New Believers

For new believers we periodically offer classes or workshops to help ground them in their new found faith. If you have questions about the Lord or His Word, this is the place. Information on the next session can always be found in the bulletin and here on the web.

Prayer

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.  -  James 1:16

Sundays at 8:30 we gather to interceed on behalf of the Body before the Lord.  For a more private time of personal prayer and communion we offer the quiteness of the sanctuary.

Monday –through Friday, 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.

Saturday, 7:00 to 8:00

Our desire at Countryside is for the body to be more available for praying for the needs of one another.

Pre-Marriage Discipling

Though we enjoy weddings, we’re far more concerned about the marriages those weddings begin. We rejoice seeing marriages get off on the right-foot — God’s foot. Our pastoral staff offers Pre-Marriage Discipleship sessions for those in the Body desiring to be married. If you want to be married at Countryside, or by one of our pastors, these sessions are necessary. Contact the office or the weddings ministry staff for more information.

First Contact

Our deacons lead the friendliest ministry at the Fellowship — and anyone is welcome to serve. We call this ministry First Contact. These folks are often the first contact that folks who don’t attend Countryside will have once arriving. We’d be blessed to have you serve alongside us to make the folks coming to the Fellowship feel welcome. Ask anyone of the First Contact servants about how you can help.

Meals Ministries

Often a new baby or an extended illness can make something as simple as dinner quite a chore. The ladies of Countryside from its earliest days have sought to minister to families by being a family and helping out with a home-cooked meal or two as the Lord provides. If you’re interested in helping to minister to your family at Countryside by exercising your culinary muscles, contact the Fellowship office, or one of the women’s ministry staff.

Audio/Video

Inside or outside, there's always plenty happening in Countryside's audio-visual ministry. And, we're always looking for willing servants to help. Whether it's a radio broadcast for Things Above, mixing sound for an outreach concert, being a roadie as we move out to The Garden during the summer, or helping in the tape ministry, the men and women who serve in this area of ministry are hugely helpful and hugely blessed. Check with one of the sound people before or after a service, or with the office staff if you'd like to be involved in this area of service.

Israel Tours

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels. For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will say, "Peace be within you." For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity. - Psalm 122:6-9

An Invitation from Pastor Terry...

One of the most remarkable experiences of my entire life was my first trip to Israel. I had waited for years to go where the future Temple would be built, to see the view that Paul had from his jail cell in Caesarea, to sail where Peter had walked on water (and later swam)… to walk in the footsteps of Christ. This is your opportunity as well when Countryside takes our next tour to Israel.

The Jewish nation is in need of blessing, and we’re in need of refreshing — both of those the Lord will accomplishes as we travel the land of the Bible together. The people of Israel will be blessed and encouraged as they see us living out our faith in Jesus in front of them. We’ll be nourished and refreshed as we worship and study the Scriptures together in the Garden where it is believed Jesus’ tomb may have been located, in the serenity of the springs where the Lord chose Gideon’s army and from the stunning view of the whole Galilee region on Mount Arbel.

Begin praying for the Lord’s direction in joining us on this amazing and life changing experience.

Shalom!
