Opportunities for Kids and their Families

At Countryside, we love children. We have been blessed by the Lord in that He has raised up a Kids Ministry where we, as Jesus said, "Go...Teach." We have an incredible privilege and responsibility, along with parents, to teach and nurture each precious child in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.
In 2 Peter 3:18 we're told: "Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." So, our desire for each child is: 1) That they know the Bible is God's revealed truth to man and to "hide His words in their hearts that they might not sin against God." 2) To show them that there is a loving Father who created them, loves them, provided a way through His Son that they can know Him, and has a wonderfully unique plan for their life. 3) To develop Christ's character in them that they, "would grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man." 4) To teach the children to share the love of Jesus with others.
Kids Worship and Nursery
Ministries and care for children ages birth through 6th grades are provided during the Sunday and Thursday services. Sunday morning during the
Thursday Nights
Ministry and care are available for ages birth through 6th grade. The nursery is fully staffed and there are age appropriate activities and Bible studies for all children. Our Thursday night servants keep the interest of our kids with Bible stories, games, crafts, and activities.
Sunday Nights
On 5th Sundays during Father’s House childcare is provided for ages birth through second grade if needed. All children, and especially those in first grade and up are encouraged to take part in the service and participate in the body, ministering to one another. On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month there are small group home fellowship (Flocks) meeting throughout the Eugene/Springfield area. Check for which locations have childcare or ministry for children.
Other Services
Currently no child care or ministry activities are provided for Wednesday's Morning Worship, but children are encouraged to participate. Kids above the 6th grade are encouraged to involve themselves in Countryside's small group student ministry and fellowship opportunities and the various Bible studies at Countryside.
Special Events Ministries
Throughout the year we provide many areas where children can be involved, like VBS, the Family Campout and all kinds of special events. These activities happen on Saturdays during the school-year, and on various days throughout the summer.
