Opportunities for Men
Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. - 1 John 5:4-5
As part of the ongoing discipleship at Countryside we seek to build within men a passion to love, serve, and follow Jesus Christ. As men are grounded in the Word of God and seek to be filled with His Spirit, the natural overflow is men who are exercising godly influence in their homes and churches, in their work place and communities. The men at Countryside are intricately involved in ministry throughout the body. Generally, this ministry manifests itself in three areas:
Worship and Study
There is a weekly Men's small group and Bible study that meets in the coffeehouse at Countryside, Saturday mornings at 8:00 (the coffeehouse opens for breakfast and coffee around 7:00, at the same time the sanctuary is open for prayer and communion.) On the third Saturday of each month at 8:00, the men gather for breakfast at the coffeehouse for a time of worship, teaching and prayer. A number of the men in the fellowship minister in the kitchen. Just come, and expect the Lord to do great things.
Service
There is a never ending list of ministry open to the brothers of the Fellowship. One of the goals is that men are equipped and released to serve in various capacities. The kids can always use men who are zealous for God, we encourage men to participate and serve in this area of ministry. Some of the elderly in the church have needs that the men can best address as well. There are a variety of opportunities within the buildings and on the grounds which take constant activity and where we are always looking for willing servants.
Recreation & Special Events
We're a family, and because we are a family were often involved in a lot of things together. Fun, hard, exciting, serene, sweaty... God has blessed these times as we come away from the hustle and bustle of our lives and focus in on Him.
We're always looking for men who are ready to serve the Lord by ministering to other guys and the whole of the Body.
