The Celebration of Ascension
As we gear up for Memorial Day and summer vacations, Easter seems like it was months ago. Well, it was forty days ago, to be more precise. Forty days from Easter is when Jesus ascended into heaven, which we find in tonight's Scripture, found at the end of Luke 24 and also in the 1st chapter of the book of Acts. Terry shows how the ascension of Jesus is much more than a blip on the Gospel radar or a part of the story where we may scratch our heads and say, "wait, what just happened?", but a vital part of the Christian life.
