What Love Isn't

Love is often this odd area of emotion where we seek to shove all sort of things into. From married love, to brotherly love, to a loving friendship, sometimes even trying to pass judgment off as love. When we seek to understand things, sometimes it is best to start with what it is not. This evening Terry takes us through as look at what Love is not. Judgement is not love. Trying to force feed people the good news while condemning them is not love. Mercy and meeting people where they are is love, and then we can truly share the good news.

Series Information

Terry proclaims the one Gospel through the history, research, rememberings and faith expressed in the text of the Gospel According to Luke. Jesus himself is the good news expressed by Luke. Beginning with the birth narratives unique to Luke's presentation, the good news of the Kingdom explodes into faithful view as each account, teaching, parable and event lived out and offered by Jesus, the Messiah-King, is examined the way Luke seemingly examined Jesus in his own work. Here we find a Jesus to love, a Jesus to follow, and ultimately a Jesus to worship.
