A Brief History of Thanksgiving
It’s generally understood that the American celebration of Thanksgiving has its origin in 1621, as the Pilgrims invited the neighboring Indian tribes to join them in a feast of gratitude for God’s blessings, having received a bountiful harvest after the grueling first winter in Massachusetts where nearly half of the settlers had died. Boy, we have progressed in the last 400 years.
