Advent Sets the Table
In our modern world, the day after Christmas is usually a drop off day. People are “Done” with Christmas at that point, they pack up the tree and the decorations, put away the nativities, and then resume their lives like nothing happened. Often times that is the day that the season stops. However the church chooses to linger a bit longer and take a bit more time. This morning Terry gives us a bit of a different perspective on the season from this point moving forward. We celebrate the coming of Jesus, starting at the incarnation but also into the current. We celebrate the coming of the Lord, we celebrate Jesus as the bread of life, and we celebrate Emmanuel, God with us. It all starts from The beginning, the birth of Jesus.
