Always Pray & Don't Give Up 3, Listening to God
James tells us that we're not to "merely listen to the Logos," but instead, we are to "do what [He] says." You may have been taught that this is somehow connected to doing what your Bible says, but might this have to do with listening for God in prayer? Listening to God should lead to action— this is the mission of the Gospel. We want to respond obediently to what we hear from God, whether it’s a call to change, serve, witness, or trust Him more deeply. We want to do what He says. I need to do what He says.

Beginning with the birth narratives unique to Luke's presentation, the good news of the Kingdom explodes into faithful view as each account, teaching, parable and event lived out and offered by Jesus, the Messiah-King, is examined the way Luke seemingly examined Jesus in his own work. Here we find a Jesus to love, a Jesus to follow, and ultimately a Jesus to worship.
