In our current society, people have a want for better, to do better, to have better, to even be better. It is a gaze fixed on progression, we feel compelled to always strive for the next thing, the next step up. We feel like we need to ascend. This morning Terry takes us through Ascension day and what that means within our faith. Jesus ascended into heaven, he left the mortal plain to go on to his next step. This event is so much more than what we can often see. Jesus Ascended to take his rightful place as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
