Forgiveness and Trust
Jesus said if someone sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' we are to forgive him. But does that mean that we also trust that someone? What do I do if a person has stolen from me many times and comes back and asks me for forgiveness? I forgive them! Yes!! Forgiveness means I am let go of my anger. Forgiveness means I will not hold a grudge nor harbor bitterness. But does trust automatically follow? Trust means that I’m willing to loan them the keys to my car.
