How Far Can We Go?

Humans throughout all time have always tried to know exactly where the line is, the way we can get right up to the edge of too much, maybe a toe over the line. From land speed records, BASE jumping, even leaps from space. Humans are excited about the prospect of breaking rules, it gives us a certain excitement. Or we do this to find exactly what the minimum effort we can possibly give is. How we can put in just enough to get by. This is very similar to what the teacher in the law tried to do in his question to Jesus. He wanted to find that line, so he could use it against others. However Jesus laid out something vastly different.

Series Information

Terry proclaims the one Gospel through the history, research, rememberings and faith expressed in the text of the Gospel According to Luke. Jesus himself is the good news expressed by Luke. Beginning with the birth narratives unique to Luke's presentation, the good news of the Kingdom explodes into faithful view as each account, teaching, parable and event lived out and offered by Jesus, the Messiah-King, is examined the way Luke seemingly examined Jesus in his own work. Here we find a Jesus to love, a Jesus to follow, and ultimately a Jesus to worship.
