Often times, our prayer can be lacking. Some approach prayer as something that must be done before another thing, like before eating. It can become a thing to check off in a sense. Still, others use prayer as a time to list the things they want, like they are filling out this sort of cosmic shopping list. Both of these approaches can be troublesome and problematic.
