Reading Scripture: Agape Feast, Witness of Ecclesiastes

Life under the sun can feel like vapor—here and gone, full of questions, aches, and fleeting joys. Ecclesiastes dares to name this truth, and in doing so, points us to the deeper gift of God’s grace. Today’s Agape Feast is not a sermon but Scripture, not explanation but encounter, as the Scriptures are read aloud and the table is shared. Bread is broken, the cup is poured, and together we find fellowship in Christ—where honesty meets grace, and where Life Together takes shape.

Series Information

Believing the Scriptures stand alone and do not require a sermon, we remind of, and reinforce, the singular beauty and necessity of the Scriptures by reading them together as a congregation at certain times throughout the year. These unedited readings use a variety of translations, including the usual translation we use in most gatherings, the NIV.
