Opportunities for Students & Teens
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. - 1 Timothy 4:12
Luke 2:41-52 refers to a time when Jesus was twelve years old. Verse 52 states, "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man." Simply stated: Jesus matured intellectually, physically, spiritually and socially. We believe this is God's desire for the middle school and high school students that call Countryside home.
We seek to mature young men and women in each of these areas, by teaching them, simply, to live in a right way, in undivided devotion to the Lord. It is our deepest desire to give a spiritual and personal foundation that can be built upon. Through nurturing and discipleship, they'll take what they know to be true of God confidently with them, as they run the race that is marked out for them, and on into eternity.
...that you may live in a right way in
UNDIVIDED DEVOTION TO THE LORD.
— 1 Corinthians 7:35
Weekly Gathering
We meet every Sunday night at 6:00 at in the coffeehouse at Countryside. We meet as one of the small groups (Flocks) on the first and third Sunday nights of the month and on the second and fourth Sunday nights after gathering together we meet for a time of worship and communion with the rest of the Body at 7:00 in Father’s House. Our meetings are very casual, as we study the Word, worship, pray, and meet at the Lord's Table together. Oh, we like to eat and get a little crazy too.
Serving the Body
As part of the Body at Countryside, we strive to be involved in all aspects of ministry here at the Fellowship. It's awesome to grow in the Lord as we serve. Ephesians 6:7 speaks of serving the Lord whole heartedly; we take this seriously, knowing that there is no better place to be than in the service of Jesus. There are huge opportunities to serve in and through the body here at Countryside. Our students serve in the First Contact ministry as ushers, greeters and parking lot attendants. Being involved in the audio-visual ministry, the kids have the opportunity to mix sound for worship or act as roadies when we move out to The Garden for worship. We're blessed with many talented young men and women. The gifts the Lord has blessed us with enable us to have our own youth-led worship band, and some have even served with the Countryside Worship Band for our main services. Other areas of ministry students are currently involved in include our children’s ministry, serving in the Encouraging Words Bookstore and Coffeehouse, ministry in the preparation of our outdoor amphitheater by running the greenhouse, planting flowers and helping maintain the grounds. We are also blessed to be involved with the Mexico Outreach to The Mission in Carmen Serdan. Get involved and see what great things the Lord wants to do in and through as you to bless the Body here at Countryside Christian Fellowship.
At this point in the life of Countryside Fellowship, the body is involved in a great many activities, everything from rafting and camping, to bike riding and rock climbing, from theater going and beach combing to hiking and concert enjoying. In addition to activities and events specifically designed for middle school and high school aged students, all students are encouraged to participate in the body, and/or with their families, in the total Body events at Countryside.
We're always looking for those folks who want to minister to the students at Countryside. Check with one of our staff to see where the Lord can use you.
