In this continuation of the current series on the Scriptures and the Word of God, Terry explains that when we see the phrase "word of God," that the whole story of Jesus is in view, not simply the Bible's verses. In addition to this, even if the Scriptures can sometimes be difficult to understand doesn't change the fact that it is still the plumb line for Christians.

What comes to mind when you hear the phrase “word of God”? The Scriptures are filled with this peculiar phrase, and their primary thrust points us to Jesus. If we’re not careful, we can unthinkingly skim over these words without reflecting on them as the Scriptures do. While the Bible is essential for our lives in Christ, knowledge of the Bible is not the end but the beginning of Christian wisdom. Not just the Bible’s verses, but the whole story of Jesus is in view. The opportunity for followers of Jesus is to connect with the Word of God.
